About

I believe that people want to lead happier and more fulfilling lives, but sometimes we can feel lost or trapped by the chaos of life. I believe that therapy can offer the opportunity to navigate through these challenges in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

I believe that people want to achieve deep and lasting change, but we can also get ‘stuck’ in our usual ways of being, so the idea of change can seem overwhelming and even impossible. I believe that our struggles can, and often are trying to tell us something that deserves our attention and understanding, but sometimes we just get too busy.

Therapy often begins by focusing on the relief from the initial distress that led you to seek it. From there, psychotherapy may involve deeper explorations aimed at producing a richer sense of self, more satisfying and fulfilling relationships with others, and a greater sense of your life achievement and endeavors.

Choosing the right therapist is important.

I see therapy as a journey where together we can navigate through your current distress and turmoil, and towards deep and meaningful self-discovery, healing and personal growth. My role is to provide the safe space and the therapeutic relationship within which you can explore those choices, to discover new ones, and let go of old patterns that no longer serve you well.

I am licensed to practice as a Clinical Psychologist, with Health Service Provider status, in the State of Tennessee and all participating PSYPACT States. I have clinical experience in psychotherapy and psychological assessments, both inpatient and outpatient settings, including: community mental health centers, forensic settings, schools, private practice, residential treatment, and not-for-profit groups.

I have worked extensively with trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavioral issues, personality disorders, relationship and family issues, grief and loss, anger issues, and multicultural issues. I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Masters of Science in Sociology from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, and my Doctorate in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. I have trained and worked in several cities in the San Francisco Bay Area, South Florida and in Middle Tennessee.

Currently, I do private practice as a psychotherapist in Nashville with individuals 18 and over.
